“Women Artists of the Gorge” in the Library Gallery – March 1-31
An art exhibition featuring Women Artists of the Gorge in celebration of Women’s History Month will be on display at the White Salmon Library March 1-31. An Opening Reception will be held March 8 beginning at 6:30 pm, featuring guest speakers LOU PALERMO of the Columbia Gorge Museum, LISA COMMANDER of the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center, and AMY BEHRENS of Maryhill Museum. The exhibition is presented by WHITE SALMON VALLEY COMMUNITY LIBRARY, SOROPTIMIST INTERNATIONAL OF MOUNT ADAMS, and WHITE SALMON ARTS COUNCIL.
SR 141 Repaving Project News
The SR 141 repaving project from Bingen to White Salmon is scheduled for construction in 2026. This spring WSDOT is having agency meetings about Complete Streets pre-design. WSDOT is just starting the Complete Streets pre-design phase of the project, during which they will determine a preferred alternative for bike and pedestrian facilities on the project corridor. The pre-design phase will inform the timeline for the rest of the project. Later this summer, there will be opportunities for public input.
