The ornaments are hung on Dock Grade with care,
And hundreds of friends are all gathered near,
To help light the tree with stars bright and fair,
And welcome the season of goodness and cheer.
Thanks to the efforts of the Dock Grade elves, the ornament display is spectacular this year, and the supportive comments have been pouring in. Then, despite the threat of heavy rain (that thankfully didn’t materialize), several hundred descended on the Riverview Bank parking lot to see Santa, help light the tree and menorah, and watch the kids get sugared up on cookies, marshmallows and S’mores.
Both displays will now stay up until early January … that is as long as we don’t have crazy weather like last year. We hope you enjoy the Dock Grade ornaments and that you joined us at the tree lighting with several hundred old and new friends. If you want to help with these and other Community Partners projects you can sign up for our Volunteers email list and/or make a donation (our main source of revenue) to help with our expenses.
