Leave your cozy fireside behind this January for a guided trek down the wintry trails of the Gifford Pinchot National Forest with U.S. Forest Service botanist Andrea Rutchy Montgomery. On January 21st 2018, Cascade Mountain School and friends will be snowshoeing through the flora and fauna found in this beautifully frozen landscape looking for winter lichen.
We will meet 10 AM on January 21st near the picnic tables to the left of the Mt. Adams Ranger Station and head out for 3-hours of snowshoeing through frozen flora and fauna.
This event is kid-friendly and dog-friendly. Please bring your lunch and snowshoes To register and find out more about this event visit our website: http://www.cascademountainschool.org/events/botany-snowshoe
