Holiday Arts, Crafts, Music, Tree Lighting – Saturday, December 6, 2014
*Start the day with Santa’s Breakfast and Bazaar at Henkle Middle School 7:30 to 11:30
Pancakes, sausage and beverages for $5/person or $15/family of five, $3 for seniors and K-8 students, and $2 for preschoolers. Photos with Santa 8:00 to noon, package prices.
*Beginning at Noon: Downtown White Salmon shops will open with food and drink, artists, entertainment, demonstrations, lots of gift ideas, and warm spaces.
*2pm to 5pm: White Salmon Community Library’s Annual Holiday Wassail Event
Demonstrations and hands-on crafts for kids, music, seasonal snacks, and the traditional wassail punch provide a family-friendly afternoon for all ages.
*4pm to 6pm: Outdoor fire pits will be lit around the White Salmon Holiday Tree at Riverview Bank
*Santa, Christmas music, caroling, holiday booths, hot chocolate and S’mores makin’s will be available for all to enjoy, and to keep everyone warm and in the spirit of the day while awaiting:
*~5 pm: the Grand Finale of the day Lighting of the White Salmon Holiday Tree
As a hush comes over the crowd, the Mayor and all the children take a deep breath, then blow on the tree to magically bring it blazing alight.
