2022 Columbia Gorge Master Naturalist Field Course
The 2022 Columbia Gorge Master Naturalist Ecoregion Field Course will open for applications starting March 12, 2022. This course is part of the Oregon Master Naturalist Program offered through Oregon State University Extension Services. The course involves online materials, as well as in-person classroom and field sessions in the Columbia River Gorge area. The course leads to an Oregon Master Naturalist certification. The in-person sessions include:
- Exploring Our Sense of Place: April 24 @ Columbia Gorge Discovery Center,
- Oak Woodlands: May 1 in the field,
- Rivers and Fisheries: May 15 in the field,
- Grasslands: June 12 in the field,
- Western Gorge Forests: July 10 in the field,
- Mt. Adams: Sept 11 in the field,
- Capstone: Oct. 9, 7:30-4:30 @ Columbia Gorge Discovery Center
Two informational Zoom meetings are scheduled for 6:00-7:00 PM on Friday, March 11 and again on Friday, March 25. They will cover more detailed Columbia Gorge Master Naturalist Ecoregion information.
