The new Aquatic Center for the White Salmon community is another step closer to reality. On behalf of the Riley family, Izak Riley of IV Riley Materials and Rapid ReadyMix has agreed to do all the excavation and provide all the concrete for the new White Salmon Valley Pool project as in-kind donations. The at-cost value of the donations is in excess of $300,000 and the commercial value is in excess of $500,000.
Izak has been a strong proponent and a valued advisor since 2019. He hopes to inspire other community contractors and suppliers to also donate at-cost or in-kind services, materials and equipment to offset portions of the $3 million construction goal for the new pool facility.
Izak says, “I just want to see this new facility become the summer hub of the community like the old pool was. This new pool facility will bring the community closer together as children and families come to have fun and socialize.” Izak also notes that, “Steve and Diane Maier have stepped up with a generous $500,000 donation. We need others in our community to step up as well.”
“The new pool facility will be a much-needed public asset for the entire White Salmon Valley community and guests, and we are committed to making the facility available for everyone” said Lloyd DeKay, President of the district board. “with these two extremely generous donations, over $1.5 million in grants, donations, pledges and levy funds have been secured toward the estimated $3 million construction cost.”
