It’s a recent tradition that the white salmon return to the streets of White Salmon one day in mid-May, but they need the help of Community Partners volunteers working with the City of White Salmon Maintenance Dept. We move the templates while the City crew runs the sprayer and handles traffic control to keep them within the crossing bars.

It’s fun but also a physical and somewhat messy job, so if you want to help be sure you’re fit enough and wear your grubbies. If you might want to volunteer, get added to the email announcements that come out a few days beforehand by adding your name to the volunteer list.
